About me

Lead full stack developer with over 15 years of experience, focussed on Middleman, PHP Laravel, MySQL, AngularJS, SCSS, HAML and CoffeeScript. Crafting Wordpress, responsive sites; social pages and hybrid mobile applications in Cordova / PhoneGap. Skilled in DevOps including Jenkins, Gulp, git as well as setting up and administering Linux servers in AWS.

I do not cut corners when it comes to testing; readability and maintainability of the code. Using automated Behat, Karma and Protractor tests for full coverage code. Accessibility and mobile first approaches to development help reduce expensive re-writes at a later stage.

Open source: personal project is CodeBlender a Bootstrap / AngularJS rapid prototyping toolset. Built through Middleman and utilising atomic development techniques to create helpers that conform to current accessibility and SEO microformats best practices.

Recent achievement: GreenTouch thai massage, developed website, social sites and SEO. Ranked page 1 on Google for the top phrase 'massage Wimbledon' Increased business 600% in the past year. Page load of about 600ms with excellent Google PageSpeed insights results.

Experienced at the CTO level, I pride myself on good team organisation. Having worked in Scrum I favour using Bug tracking software (Jira, Asana, Trello), Wiki's (Confluence), Slack and any other means to enhance communication and collaboration within the team.

Worked in many startups including my own: BeepTaxi, think Uber circa 2004. Experienced working remotely, done this from Tokyo, Ubud and Bangkok before. Looking more at NodeJS and MongoDB. Love Asana. All made possible with Sublime Text and my Mac.
